I have been asked by the ladies at Redox Jewellery Studio to publish a retail opportunity they are presenting to contemporary jewellers. They are launching the first contemporary jewellery gallery in Geelong in May 2011, and I wish them the best of luck!

The Redox Jewellery Studio is very excited to announce the opening of its very own Retail Gallery and workshop, which will be located within the artistic surrounds of the Wintergarden in Geelong. The studio will be Geelong’s first contemporary jewellery gallery, and as such presents artists with a unique market opportunity.
We will continue to operate the Redox Jewellery Market upstairs in the art@wintergarden gallery, and our retail space will be conveniently located downstairs next to the cafe.
Over the next 6 weeks we are going to be very busy transforming the existing space into a clean, contemporary gallery. We are currently having fun designing the display cabinets and choosing color schemes.
We aim to represent contemporary jewellers and metal artists from all over Victoria and Australia. In addition to this we will be running skill-based workshops for jewellers and hobbyists.

If you are an artisan jeweller and are interested in being a part of our retail gallery (on consignment) then we would love to hear from you.
Please include the following in your application:
• One page CV
• Short Bio (approx 200 words) and artist statement (approx 200 words)
• Images of the work you intend to supply, complete with descriptions, titles and retail prices
• Link to your website/blog
