8th June: last day for Lord Coconut ‘Indelible‘, “A group exhibition of men’s jewellery, created by local jewellers and artisans, inspired by vintage and contemporary Tattoo Art. Each of the Exhibition pieces have been inspired by vintage tattoos, dragons, Sailor Jerry, roses, Celtic symbols, roses and anime (as personal as your own choice of tattoo). Participating jewellers, artisans and designers include: Justine Austen, Emily Belcher, Sebastian Cilento, Metal Couture, Beth Croce, Silver Cyanide, Petr Hanzak, Frances Rose Jewellery, Windfall Jewellery, David Parker, Tim Peel, R M Perry, Melanie Rice and Roxanne Watts.” [link]; opened 23rd May

29th June: Square Peg Studio (Sydney), Liquid Enamel Weekend Workshop (No jewellery skills necessary) with Linda Blair [link]; “The liquid enamel course is aimed at anyone interested in working with a different type of enamel, as a way of adding both colour and texture to copper and steel. Liquid enamel can be used in a range of ways – painted, dripped, sgraffitto, layered and ground back, textured and more. In this workshop you will have the opportunity to experiment with all these techniques, using liquid enamel by itself and in conjunction with transparent enamels and other materials.

2nd August: work to be received at Lord Coconut for group exhibition ‘Enhancement‘ [link]; “Help us celebrate the largest collection of men’s pendants in Melbourne created by the best local jewellers, designers and artisans. Each submitted pendant must be created in Australia and priced under $250 retail (…). Pendants can be made from precious metals, leather, cast bronze, porcelain, wood, recycled materials or the like.“; check the website for how to make an expression of interest in being part of the show!
