I’ve received a message from a reader that Ivan, the most esteemed makers mark maker, seems to have retired (his number is disconnected). This is sad news indeed.
So … where does one get a makers mark made now?

I just got one through Unimark – http://www.unimark.com.au/ – I did have trouble getting a reply through their website – eventually I got a chance to call them and they were very helpful! Also heard good things about Infinity and Microstamp (both US).
I also had mine made by Unimark in Thomastown, do call first to discuss your requirement and theirs for artwork. Turn around when I ordered last year was less than 2weeks. I got a a 2mm x 1mm one strike mark made, it’s brilliant.
