While not as difficult a year as 2012 was, this year had its own challenges; most especially my return to work and the subsequent drain on energy. So again, I found myself unable to visit as many of the excellent exhibitions that were in Melbourne as I wanted to.
Of those exhibitions I was able to see, the most memorable are:
- Tessa Blazey ‘Romancing the Stone‘ @ Pieces of Eight, July 2013

- ‘Afghanistan‘ @ Melbourne Museum, July 2013
a ‘blockbuster’ yes, but it was a pure joy to see the goldworkexhibition media
- RMIT graduates ‘Good+as+Gold‘ @ fortyfive downstairs, December 2013

And if I may be so bold to declare: my most favourite item viewed all year was ‘Brooches from Saturnia Industrialia (2012)’ by Inari Kiuru, part of the ‘Wondernamel 2013‘ exhibition.
