14th / 15th July: Northcity4 workshop Masterclass: ‘Today. Tomorrow‘ with Manon Van Kouswijk [link]; “Traditionally jewellery is meant to last forever and it functions as a marker of time for important moments in our lives. During the two days of this workshop we will work with ephemeral materials like newspaper and magazines on a series of models for temporary jewellery, trying to materialise something of our time and place.  This will be a process driven workshop that reflects on the relationship between jewellery and time and on how we as makers relate to time. We choose to work in a slow medium within a fast world; how does our work represent this world?  What do we value?
