Blog roundup

20 04 2011

It’s time for another visit around the interwebs … what’s caught my eye?

  • I’ve fallen in love with this brooch by Darren Harvey on Black Finch’s blog
  • … and he also has a wonderful cuff at e.g.etal
  • check out the beautiful cufflinks Vikki Kassioras is supplying to Lord Coconut
  • … and you should also look at those by David Parker – the ‘fighter’ cufflinks are cool
  • I continue to LOVE the Pieces of Eight blog, especially their super-regular and variously interesting posts!
  • need instructions (with photos) on how to make a cufflink finding? check out Justin Siow’s post
  • Inari Kiuru is back from her hiatus and back into stunning us with her photo essays
  • Karla Way’s (gorgeous!) neckpiece was featured on Pieces of Eight blog, and it was amazing to me to see how similar the shape and size is to a pendant I made a few years ago (2005); my piece also referenced talisman, and it absolutely fascinates me how another artist (without any knowledge of, or connection to, me) also resonates with that particular shape and size… I’ll write more about that piece at a later date …
  • Katie Jayne Britchford has posted a video of RMIT professor Robert Baines
  • it’s very exciting to welcome my lovely friend Lucy Hearn to the blogging community – welcome her with a visit!

And in a little bit of “look at me” … I’ve been mentioned on these excellent blogs

Also, in a little cleanup, I’ve moved some links between ‘current’ and ‘hibernating’, and I’ve deleted the below blogs from my links page as they haven’t been updated in almost/over a year.

And remember: tomorrow at 11pm AEST the Lucky Charm Fundraiser. Making Good Fortune Happen bidding closes

Happy reading!

Thanks for the mention of a few of my jewellers. Store opens to the public on 3rd May. Busy setting everything up.
