It’s been a bit of a secret struggle to date, but I’m now ready to share! I’ve been working on making a piece for an upcoming exhibition in Sydney: ‘Feast‘, curated by Zoe Brand, at Depot Gallery from 20th-24th December.

Feast celebrates the predetermined as well as the gloriously spontaneous moments that happen around the christmas feasting table. Bring your christmas cracker humour to the table and join us for a celebration of jewellery and Objects.

More about it when it’s all photographed and I’ve put my experience into perspective…

A number of other jewellers have been working hard too and mentioned their progress in their blogs: Katherine Wheeler (with a lovely image), Kristin d’Agostino, Natalia Milosz-Piekarska.

There are many participating jewellers from Melbourne, so it’s all very exciting!

Update (13th December): next post on ‘Feast‘ is here

Hi Kristin
Hurray indeed!
I certainly will share some photographs – one piece is done and the other still in progress (I know, not much time left!)… but it may not be until next week, as there is so much to do in the meantime!
They’re more ‘stutters’ in the direction I was hoping to go, than ‘fully resolved’ pieces; it took me quite a bit to warm-up into making again… but I was so excited to be invited to participate by Zoe that I emerged from almost three years of not making – I loved the concept of the exhibition and couldn’t wait to see what happened once I started…
I look forward to seeing your images – please send me a comment/link when you’ve posted them.
Happy making!
