As I did this time last year, I thought it would be a bit of fun to see what were the ‘top posts’ were in 2012.
Excluding ‘Home Page’ and other pages, the top 10 posts with the most ‘clicks’ during 2012 were:
- #1: ‘Lace in Fashion‘ @ NGV International
12th January 2011: I think was only popular because (according to those more sartorially in-tune than I) lace has been in fashion this year - #2: Short courses in Melbourne
17th October 2011: I’m glad to see lots of people are interested in learning jewellery - #3: Pandora jewellery / Trollbeads
4th December 2009: another old story; I’m a bit sad for people who are genuinely looking for information on these ‘jewels’ (ah-hem) and end up finding themselves reading my post putting the boot in (#4 last year, #3 the year before, groan) - #4: More about jewellery insurance
4th October 2010: insurance is still a news topic (#3 last year) - #5: ‘Chinoiserie: Asia in Europe 1620-1840‘ @ NGV
6th November 2009 (#7 last year) - #6: ‘Unexpected Pleasures‘ @ NGV
20th April 2012: NEW ENTRY: a review of the immense event that was this exhibition - #7: Jewellery at auction: Makers Mark
3rd August 2012: NEW ENTRY: stock left from the failure of the jewellery store - #8: Otto Kunzli & Therese Hilbert ‘Leonids and Fumerols‘ @ Gallery Funaki
22nd November 2010: absolutely beautiful exhibition… (#8 last year) - #9: Makers Mark Gallery news
13th July 2010: an old story, people generally searching for ‘makers marks’ (#2 last year and #2 the year before) - #10: Most famous ring in the world?
17th October 2009; this was a hot topic in late 2009 when the jewellers who made Keith Richard’s skull ring introduced a new version to the general market; this year looks like more were searching in relation to the Pope’s ring (no pun intended)
Most popular posts since I started writing (March 2009):
- #1: Most famous ring in the world?; as #10 above
- #2: Makers Mark Gallery news ; as #9 above
- #3: Pandora jewellery / Trollbeads; as #2 above
- #4: Artist Profile: Nicole Polentas (13th May 2009; a very close #11th post this year)
- #5: Show me the dates Melbourne Museum (11th April 2011)
I’m looking forward to a busy 2013 … happy reading!
